New Hoists From STOCKS Very Competitive
STOCKS has answered the needs of the market by introducing a new range of affordable high performance hoists - with absolute assurance of quality.
First examples of the new JIG range of hoists are now arriving and prices are expected to start from as low as $3995 plus GST for a 2-post, 4-tonne capacity model.
“With the dramatic fall in the value of the dollar over the past year STOCKS has been working hard to source a range of top quality vehicle hoists that meet the performance expectations of our customers at the right price – we believe we have found exactly what they want in the new JIG range,” says William Singleton, General Manager of STOCKS Equipment Division.
He says the STOCKS team are very excited about the new hoists because they fulfil the needs of typical New Zealand workshops.
“They are extremely well built, strong and are all designed and - most importantly - tested to the European CE standards,” adds Mr Singleton.
Whilst JIG has a wide range of hoists for almost every application, STOCKS has selected the most appropriate models for the New Zealand market.
The 2-post hoist will be available in two models, both certified to lift 4-tonne loads. The price-leading TPF 209 model has a reduced height floor plate base and the TPO 309E model has a completely baseless design, preferred by many workshops. Both models feature asymmetric arms with automatic locks, cable equalisation systems and a maintenance-free load bearing design.
Two different 4-post hoists are being offered, too. The FPL 309 is designed to handle loads of up to 4-tonnes and the heavy duty FPA 412 model with a 5.5-tonne capacity that is suited to commercial vehicles. Among their features are an open-front design for easier under vehicle access, 4-point levelling system, automatic safety locks, turntable and slip-plate along with extra width to accommodate Digital Imaging Wheel Aligners (like the Hunter Hawkeye), an adjustable runway and optional hydraulic jacking beams.
Two models of scissor lift round out the JIG range in New Zealand, one offering 2.7-tonne lift capacity and the other a 3-tonne lift.
Mr Singleton says the ‘budget’ hoist market is fraught with dangers and experience has taught the company to tread wary when looking to introduce new products after witnessing problems with some Asian-sourced brands.
But he says that STOCKS have no worries about JIG after visiting the factory in the Chinese industrial heartland of Qingdao and seeing the purpose-built factory and the high level of skill and quality employed in the construction of its vehicles hoists.
Established for more than 20 years, JIG only makes workshop service equipment and has specialises in hoist manufacture.
“They rival the European in many respects, except when it comes to price, and they represent extremely good value in today’s market,” Mr Singleton adds.
For workshops who demand the peace of mind of European-made hoists, STOCKS continues to offer the well respected Italian-made RAV range and the 2-post and 4-post hoist range from Stenhoj of Denmark. Recently, STOCKS added Corghi 2-post and four post hoists to its line-up and says they represent excellent value at $5995 plus GST for the two post, 4 tonne capacity baseless models available in either single or 3 phase.
